The historic McGrath House was built in 1910 and and has been completely restored in 2015 including a newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, a restored firepit and a new flagstone patio in the back yard. The house has 4 bedrooms including a master bedroom on the ground floor with king bed and master bath, 3 bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a king bed, Bedroom #3 is accessed through Bedroom #2 and has a full size bed and single bed. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed and single bed. A covered side porch is available for sitting outside in the shade. A large flagstone patio with masonry sitting walls is located at the back of the house. The backyard includes a firepit with sitting walls. Nearby attractions include Pies and Pints Restaurant and the day spa and Cool Beanz coffee shop across the street. Other restaurants and pubs within 2 to 4 blocks are Gumbo's, Vandal's Kitchen, Charlies Pub, Secret Sandwich Society and The Station. Guests at the McGrath House have access to the 192 acre Cascade Resort Property across the street including a tennis court and hiking trails. Guests can also walk to bike shops, antique shops, Hardrock Climbing School, Waterstone Outdoors and other nearby unique shops in downtown Fayetteville. Summary: Six traveling girlfriends had a wonderful time in Fayetteville. We spent days hiking and driving through New River Gorge and even did Bridge Walk. Evenings spent at this wonderful home. Well appointed, had everything we could need. Comfy beds, thick towels and an outdoor fire pit which we used every night. Great location in town and walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Summary: We really enjoyed staying at this location! Really close to downtown, across from a fairly popular bar, with a fantastic restaurant down the road within walking distance. Location had off street parking and was close to various hiking trails around the area. Bill was as excellent host! Would recommend and return!

Summary: This is the second time our family has stayed at this house. The host are great and very easy to reach. We had a wedding at the Ginza state and this location couldn’t be beat. It was close to the wedding venue as well as all the shops and restaurants Fayetteville has to offer. The house is very clean and well furnished. Highly recommend choosing The McGrath house for your next vacation!

Summary: A group of friends stayed here to attend a wedding at the Gaines Estate. The location is prime, with anything in downtown Fayetteville in walking distance (and Pies and Pies right across the street!). We enjoyed time outside on the porch, went shopping around town, and had plenty of space and everything we needed in the house.
